Steamed Crab Legs

Lauren Gauthier treats herself to steamed crab legs or boiled crawfish on Friday nights to get into weekend mode. Six minutes in the steamer basket and a stick of melted butter, and that's the whole thing.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen crab legs
  • Salt
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 tablespoons Britt's Cooking Cajun Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons Best Stop Cajun Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Get the water going. Put a small amount of water in the bottom of a steamer pot and add a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil. Lauren uses a Cajun Ninja pot.
  2. Prep the crab legs. While the water heats, wash off the crab legs, making sure all the ice is removed.
  3. Season. Season both sides with the Britt's and Best Stop seasonings.
  4. Steam. Put the crab legs in the basket, close the lid, and set a timer for 6 minutes.
  5. Melt the butter. While they steam, melt a stick of butter in the microwave.
  6. Rest and serve. Let the crab legs sit about 1 minute before eating.
