Best Baked Chicken

Juicy, oven-baked chicken with a little kick — olive oil and a blend of cayenne, paprika, and Kinder’s seasonings give you crisp skin and bold flavor in every bite. Easy enough for a weeknight, good enough for company.

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 lbs chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings, breasts, or a combination)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Kinder’s Buttery Poultry Blend seasoning
  • Kinder’s “The Blend” seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic purée
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 lemon

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil and seasonings.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Arrange the chicken in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. If desired, broil for an additional 2–3 minutes to crisp up the skin.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Tips & Variations:

  • For crisper skin, pat the chicken dry before baking and raise the oven to 450°F (230°C) for the last 10–15 minutes.
  • Lay lemon wedges or slices over the chicken for a bright burst of citrus.
  • Mix chopped herbs like rosemary or parsley into the marinade for extra flavor.
  • Swap in seasonings like cumin, coriander, or smoked paprika for a different flavor profile.
